1800s Doll Ludwig Greiner 32" Paper Mache Large Doll Blond Blue Glass Eyes Rare

This is a Ludwig Greiner 32" Paper Mache Head and Shoulder Doll. The 32" Dolls are rare with this face/hair style and blond hair. Although there is no tag, this style doll (high forehead/smooth hairline/glass eyes/large body) are sometimes called pre-Greiner and may have been made around the 1850's. The head measures 9.5" from bottom of the breastplate to top of head and 9.5" from shoulder to shoulder. Doll has charcoal shaded eyebrows and no eyelashes. As you can see from the pics, there is some heavy surface flaking on each side of her face and hair. There may have also been some paint touchup on her face. This can be repaired if desired but for a 150 year old doll, it is still quite solid. Doll has Bright Blue glass eyes a cloth stuffed body and it's original intact leather hands (very rare to find a 32" BLOND doll with glass eyes). Undergarments consist of dual bottom paneled petticoat along with lace bloomers, black stockings and original brown lace-up boots. Dolls came originally as heads only or assembled and undressed. Some of this doll's outer dress pieces are antique as well. These large early dolls are quite collectible. I am no authority on Greiner dolls, feel free to ask questions! 50.00. OBO
