Angel Peña, game used Spaulding catchers mitt. At one point the Dodgers catcher of the future and the man to replace the then-just-traded Mike Piazza, Peña’s star faded as “poor conditioning” and the subsequent assent of Paul Lo Duca ultimately did him in in L.A. But, like all great lifer backstops, Angel packed his gear up and followed the dream, playing for a combined 13 seasons between the MLB, MiLB, Mexican, Korean, Dominican and Atlantic Leagues.
This glove is in fantastic condition for its age. Broken in with a little infield dirt grime, the webbing and leather are game-ready, should you feel the need to have a catch with a former MLB glove.
