Offered here for your consideration is a very fine large, antique Capodimonte porcelain casket or table box.
Additional Details:
In the Meissen style with raised polychrome decoration to all sides.
With a gilt bronze hinged mount.
(As an interesting note on the difficulty of historical challenges of making porcelains, both the lid and sides were fired in a non-uniform, wavy way. Because these pieces were so technically difficult to produce, we surmised that the company chose to keep these as factory-firsts and make the mounts conform to the irregularity of the sides and top.)

Overall Condition:
It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. There is
some minor rubbing to the gold, scratches and some wear to the mount and rubbing to its gold, and some light bending of the mount near the hinge. Otherwise, there are
some very fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
